Dr. Gregory Santarelli is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Apex Oral Surgery & Dental Implants in Kenosha, WI.
His educational background includes Arizona State University for his Bachelor of Science in biology; Marquette University for his Doctor of Dental Surgery; University of Iowa College of Dentistry for a general dentistry residency; Medical College of Virginia for an OMS internship; and Christiana Care Health Systems of Delaware for a four-year OMS residency.
While Dr. Santarelli was Chief Resident, he had the honor of traveling to impoverished countries in Asia to serve underprivileged youth. During this two-week dental mission, he performed several cleft lip and palate surgeries.
Dr. Santarelli has several professional affiliations, including being a fellow and diplomat of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, a fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a diplomat of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
He is also a member of the Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (President, 2013-14), American Dental Association, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Wisconsin Dental Association, Kenosha County Dental Society (President, 2011) and founder of Kenosha Interdisciplinary Dental Implant Study Club (2009-present).
Dr. Santarelli has been surgically placing dental implants since 2000. He has extensive experience and expertise in the most challenging of cases. Dr. Santarelli is well crafted in preparing for dental implants by utilizing the most advanced bone grafting and soft tissue grafting materials and procedures. He understands the significance and investment involved in dental implants, and as such, he works closely with general dentists to obtain the best possible result for their mutual patients. Dr.Santarelli’s continued education not only focuses on the surgical aspect of dental implants, but equally on the restoration of the implants.
He prides himself on staying up to date on the latest advancements in dental surgery and technology. Dr. Santarelli has been honored to be involved in clinical research with Geistlich Biomaterials since 2016. He is also on staff at Aurora Medical Center.
Dr. Santarelli truly enjoys treating Kenoshans and members of surrounding communities. He was born and raised in Kenosha, by Dr. James and Geraldine Santarelli, who instilled a commitment to family, friends, and community to their eleven children.
During Dr. Santarelli’s free time, he enjoys golfing, practicing yoga, traveling, and cheering for the Milwaukee Brewers. Most importantly, he loves spending time with his wife, Joya, and his two boys, Rocky and Valentino.
