Dr. Mary Ballard is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Apex Oral Surgery & Dental Implants in Mt Pleasant, WI. She is a West Virginia native and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at West Virginia University. She then continued her path to oral surgery by attending dental school at Columbia University in New York City, one of only two Ivy League dental schools in the country.
While there she earned numerous accolades and graduated with the highest academic standing in her class. She completed her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC. Dr. Ballard also served in roles at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Children’s National Hospital, and the VA Medical Center and completed extensive training in dentoalveolar surgery, facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, pathology, and anesthesia for adults and children. She then moved to Wisconsin with her husband, Dr. Tiboris, and has been delivering high quality care to the area since 2014.
Dr. Ballard has professional affiliations with the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, and Racine County Dental Society and is on staff at Ascension All Saints Hospital and Aurora Medical Center. She has a special interest in dental implants and digital implant planning, oral pathology, and pediatric oral surgery.
Dr. Ballard prides herself in providing adults and children with exceptional care in a relaxed, comfortable environment and providing many options for managing the anxiety that is often associated with oral surgery.
Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, and following West Virginia and Wisconsin sports.
